Samsung Bringing Galaxy S WiFi 3.6 to USA

Back in September, the Smasung Galaxy S, a device that's essentially a Galaxy S without its cellular modem. While we're well used to seeing manufacturers offer tablets with this sort of configuration, it's a bit of a rarity for sub-five-inch devices (especially since we haven't seen a new iPod touch in years). We saw the handset and now it's been revealed that the Galaxy S WiFi 3.6 will be seeing US release, as well.

What good is aging Galaxy S hardware? Samsung sees the handset as a media player for people who don't already own a smartphone. It's far from state-of-the-art, but a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 3.6-inch WVGA display still make for some very usable hardware, so long as you're not interested in pushing it too hard.
